Westover Winery in Castro Valley, CA

14th Annual Wine & Liberty Event

Join the Alameda County Libertarian Party for our annual Wine and Liberty fundraiser in the bucolic environment of the lovely Westover Winery in Castro Valley. This is the home stretch of campaigning before the November 3 General Election, so come meet local Libertarian candidates for office, learn what new taxes are facing us and try to resume some semblance of a normal life in our last socially distanced bacchanal of the year.

Westover Vineyards specializes in small-lot Ports (20+ varieties!), champagnes, red and  white wines. Winery owner Bill Smyth has historic family roots in California. In 1886 Bill's great aunt, Josephine Tychson, was the first woman to build and operate a winery in California (her St. Helena winery is now the site of Freemark Abbey). Bill, Kelly and winery dog Daisy will be joining us for the celebration.
