The Alameda County Libertarian Party is returning to the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Celebration this year, and we’ll once again have a booth at one of the largest and most fun community events in the Tri-Valley! This is a great opportunity to meet people, talk about libertarian ideas, and introduce new folks to the party.
Festival Details:
Dates & Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza Dublin, CA 94568
Fun Highlights Include:
  • Three stages of live Irish music and dance
  • Saturday morning parade
  • Over 250 vendor booths and an Irish marketplace
  • Authentic Irish and international food
  • Carnival rides and family activities
  • Roaming bagpipers and leprechauns
  • Irish Tea Cottage with tea, pastries, and live music
What We’ll Be Doing at Our Booth:
  • Raffling off Tuttle Twins books
  • Inviting people to take the World’s Smallest Political Quiz / Nolan Chart
  • Handing out buttons and flyers
  • Talking with festival-goers about libertarian ideas and the Libertarian Party
Volunteer Opportunities:
Setup:
Friday: 2:00–6:00 PM for set-up (preferred)
Saturday morning: around 7:00 AM (if Friday help isn’t available)
If we get one or two volunteers Friday afternoon, booth staffing doesn’t start until 9:30 AM Saturday.
Booth Staffing:
Saturday: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Preferably at least two people at a time so everyone can take breaks.
Breakdown:
Sunday at 5:00 PM (two volunteers preferred)
Even a couple of hours helps a lot - these festivals are some of the best outreach we do, and they’re a lot of fun! If you can't help out at least come by and say hi!
